Sign-in and account data
We use your verified email for sign-in links and account access. Session cookies identify your authenticated account; they are not advertising cookies. Sign-in tokens and session verifiers are stored as hashes. Your account also keeps a record that you agreed to the Terms and this notice: their date, when you asked for a sign-in link with the box ticked, and when you used that link. Limited request identifiers and abuse controls protect account access and spending.
Conversation and memory
Your questions, relevant recent conversation and enabled notes are sent to the server and selected AI provider to prepare a reply. Persistent history is optional. Saved conversation context is a bounded set of recent messages, rather than a complete conversation archive. Companion notes let you keep points you want carried forward; saved journal reflections remain a separate choice. Friend’s saved conversation context expires after seven days. Companion’s enabled history and editable notes remain until you erase them. Context is separated by account, membership and perspective.
Saved reflections and teaching progress are separate from remembered conversation context. Erasing memory does not automatically erase your journal or reading progress. You can manage each separately. The server retains bounded request results and identifiers to recover interrupted requests and avoid duplicate AI calls and charges. Local erasure cannot retract information already transmitted to a service provider.
Sensitive information
Your messages can reveal religious beliefs and physical or mental health. They are used only to prepare your reply, for the features you turn on, and to run and protect the service. Your messages are never sold and are never used for advertising. Each time the site gives safety support for a message, one is added to a daily count; the count keeps no message text and nothing that identifies you or your account.
Who receives your messages
OpenRouter and the AI provider it routes to receive your messages to prepare AI replies. Cloudflare hosts the service. The configured email service receives information needed for sign-in and opted-in teaching emails. Atiq Litera never uses your messages to train AI models. The replies come from Anthropic’s Claude, checked by OpenAI’s GPT, reached through OpenRouter. The companies that run these models (Anthropic, OpenAI, Amazon, Google and Microsoft) state in their business terms that they do not train their models on messages sent through their paid services. Some of them keep messages for a limited time to check for abuse.
Children
Atiq Litera is not for anyone under 18. If we learn a user is under 18, we close the account and delete its data, except billing records we must keep for payment reconciliation. Parents can contact support@atiqlitera.com.
Payments
Stripe processes card and wallet details. Atiq Litera stores application-specific customer, subscription, invoice, payment and credit-balance identifiers for access, receipts, support and reconciliation. Other applications using the operator’s Stripe account are kept separate in the app catalog and reporting records. A shared Stripe account does not create separate payout balances.
Service providers
Atiq Litera runs on Cloudflare (Workers, D1, R2 and Durable Objects). OpenRouter passes AI requests to the AI provider. Sign-in links and opted-in teaching emails are sent through Cloudflare’s email service.
Email teachings
Teaching emails require a verified address, enabled history and explicit opt-in. Delivery follows the schedule chosen in your account and can be paused or unsubscribed. Other recipients cannot be supplied through a public send endpoint. Delivery or opening does not automatically mark a complete source as read.
Feedback
If you use the feedback box, we keep your message, its id and time, any name and email you give, and a valid page path if supplied. If you are signed in, we also keep your account id. We use your email only to reply. These notes have no automatic expiry. Your account export includes notes linked to your account, and deleting your account removes them. Guests can request removal through support.
To slow spam, we keep two keyed hashes of your network address (an IPv6 /64 prefix for IPv6), using random server keys for today and tomorrow. We never store the address itself or your user-agent. Keys change each UTC day; older keys are deleted on new feedback or scheduled cleanup. Both address hashes are cleared by scheduled cleanup once the note is older than two hours. Cleanup is scheduled every 15 minutes. The message and the other fields remain until removal. The backup retention below also applies.
Control and retention
You can change your chosen voices, turn memory off, remove remembered context, delete saved reflections, pause teachings, export your account data or sign out. Optional-data removal revokes account sessions and clears related conversation data; payment reconciliation records can be retained separately. Database backups are kept for up to 30 days, so erased data can remain in backups for up to 30 days. For any privacy request, write to support@atiqlitera.com.
